Panic attacks can be extremely scary. They can feel as if you're going to die, pass out, have a heart attack, or some other calamity.  Panic attacks can be caused by a strong reaction to a stressful event and could cause you to feel scared to death about having another.  They're extremely scary to children and their parents

Some children may begin avoiding situations where they might becoming panicky and may become agoraphobic. This may lead them to avoid school and other public places, not leave the house, or other ways of avoiding potentially embarrassing situations. This can be devastating to their social life at a time when socializing is crucial for their healthy development.
Fortunately, there is effective, short-term treatment for panic. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, you can learn how to manage your anxiety and reset your internal anxiety alarm system. Through cognitive and behavioral techniques, you can deal with your panic attacks and get your life back.
