Lack of sleep can have serious consequences on both mental and physical well being. Individuals who experience insomnia often face significant  challenges during the day, such as impaired concentration, irritability, strained relationships, and reduced academic or work  performance.  Anyone who has had insomnia can tell you how difficult the waking hours can be. Impaired concentration, irritableness, impacted relationships, and poor work performance can wreck havoc on any normal person's life. Likewise the hours before sleep tend to be a frustrating ordeal that only makes falling asleep worse.
